PUBG just released their latest 0.10.0 update with the Vikendi snow-map. One of the best selling games in the world, the game has already hit 87 million daily active players. An acronym for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, the game has quickly hit the sweet spot in the e-sports industry, and the online gaming industry as well.
The game is played on a map of the players’ choosing. Players are airdropped on an apparently abandoned island in groups of four (squad), two (duo), and single player (solo). The players then collect a host of equipment like guns, backpacks, med-kits, and grenades which they find by going to houses, and various places. However, the players have to remain in the safe zone. Venturing out of the safe zone is risky as they may get caught up in the blue zone and eventually die quickly, sometimes taking along their teammates as well who may have ventured into the danger zone to revive their knocked out fellows.
But with the new 0.10.0 update, there has been considerable lag and latency issues while gaming which has left a lot of players complaining. However, the good news is just around the corner. In a report by PUBGgamers website, PUBG mobile 0.10.5 update is coming this month.
PUBG Mobile 0.10.5 Update
Snow Bike: A multi-purpose vehicle which helps riders chase down enemies while being nimble and quick.
Vikendi Weather (Day, Moonlight, and Snow): The new update will bring in Vikendi Night Mode, alongside Day and Snow weather.
New Weapons: The new upcoming update is tipped to bring in new weapons like the G36C SMG and the PP-19 Bizon SMG gun.
Footprints: Players can now see footprints which means enemy tracking just got easier. But then, enemies can see your tracks too.
New Voice Chats: PUBG is slated to add some more classic voices in the chat box.
Vikendi Stable Map: The current update has players complaining about lag and latency issues. The upcoming update hopefully will remove all those issues.
Mk47 Mutant: This is a new Assault Rifle which uses 7.62mm bullets.
FPP Driving: You can get into FPP driving mode once you get into the vehicle.
New Vehicle Tuksai: Also called the tuk-tuk, or a rickshaw in India, this is a new vehicle addition in the upcoming update.
Also in other rumours, PUBG could be adding a new Zombie mode, but there seems to be no confirmation from any source whatsoever. Until then fingers crossed.
